Walk before and after.
Raining. tried to avoid all the worms on the sidewalks and roads. Why do they do this? Gave me something to ponder; "Dissertation upon Drowned Worm". ( I guess they haven't actually drowned yet, but 'drowning' didn't fit - is it only those of a British heritage that would get my blatant copying??) Why don't they just stay in amongst the grass which would be safer than exposed to human feet and robins' beaks? I don't remember this happening in Scotland - maybe the worms there are acclimatised to wet conditions?? What happens in Vancouver?? I disturbed many robins taking advantage of this smorgasboard. Maybe this is a survival of the fittest strategy. But in that case why still so many would be suicides??? Hmmm.
