Walking 41:14 intensity: (30:32 @0) + (10:42 @1) 2.25 km (18:21 / km) +74m 15:46 / km

Walk hike at Ramblin Vewe Farm Trails, with microspikes on.
Sections of trails I was on were well packed out, so no regretting leaving snowshoes in the back seat. And this has also been packed out by narrow snowshoes, so snagging each side of the trail with each step would have been aggravating.
Despite signs everywhere asking folks to pick up after their dogs, it was dog-shit heaven. Very irritating - debating making up some supplemental signs of my own to post.

XC Ski - Skate 57:46 intensity: (15:11 @0) + (11:30 @1) + (20:40 @2) + (10:25 @3) 7.05 km (8:12 / km) +78m 7:46 / km

Gunstock - relatively crappy conditions - poor grooming. They should have just left it to sit and drain yesterday, firm up overnight and groomed early today with a tiller.
Surprised I went as far as I did.

Snowshoe 1:06:07 intensity: (34:53 @0) + (27:55 @1) + (3:05 @2) + (14 @3) 2.44 km (27:04 / km) +67m 23:47 / km

Chemung trails. Parking lot was glare ice. Trails were better. Part had been snowshoed, with folks barebooting on that. Diverted onto the Yellow trail, which had been snowshoed for a bit, then they turned around. Those were narrow snowshoes with a narrow gaited person, which made for a narrower trail than easily fit my snowshoes. Then when I was breaking trail, there was older trail underneath with some variable crust on top, so it remained slow going, but a good workout.
Noticed a HR spike up to 184 - anomaly or short PVC? Was stopping at short intervals to rest and catch my breath - steep uphill breaking trail through crust over 8-10" of powder will take it out of you...

Yardwork (Moving snow) 1:30:00 intensity: (1:00:00 @1) + (30:00 @2)

Forecast was for 5-8". There might have been 5" sometime in the early morning, before it turned to sleet and freezing rain, which compacted what had already fallen.
Snowblower could deal with some of this, but the bottom 1-2" was sodden - so ended up scraping that to the side where it could partially drain, then get tossed up onto the banking.

Walking 39:57 [1] 3.25 km (12:18 / km) +42m 11:33 / km
shoes: Green Roclite 345 GTX

Spent too much time moving around the slush earlier - but wanted to still get out and clear my head.

Got there early - saw folks in the first chair up as I was walking over towards the lift.
Very nice conditions - packed powder everywhere.
As I was walking back towards my truck, saw someone who looked like Peter Goodwin just ahead of me - then I saw the license and the OUSA sticker. Chatted for a bit.

Yardwork (Moving snow) 3:00:00 intensity: (1:00:00 @0) + (1:30:00 @1) + (30:00 @2)

After the auger drive belt on the snowblower jumped off the pulley for the 3rd time yesterday, I gave up and went to have some fun, so I was faced with a driveway with a lot of snow this morning. Went to 5 places before I found the right v-belt which shot most of the morning.
Finally got it rebuilt then dove into moving snow. It had warmed up today and the tire tracks from where I'd driven the truck out a few times was packed solid. Snowblowing, scraping, pulling snow off the roof, snowblowing the paths around the backyard for grandkid adventures this weekend and I was out of steam.

ahr:95 max:133 shoes: '21 Salomon Classic Skins

Started off on a pair of waxable classic skis, but not much in the way of kick and they were dragging, so swapped over to the Salomon Skins. Reasonable kick, ok glide. Hard to gauge how much snow we got today - groomer had been out and about most of the day, although it was sitting beside the GNA clubhouse when I first got there - one of the classic track attachments wasn't behaving nicely.
Slow going in the varying depths of fresh powder, but had a great time. Wind started picking up a bit towards the end - a couple of instances of unfortunate timing, being right under a large hemlock when a gust came though and lot's of snow that had been up on the branches came down right on top of me.
