Orienteering race 2:12:51 [3] *** 9.3 km (14:17 / km)
ahr:162 max:176 spiked:14/22c shoes: Inov-8 MudClaws

Not positive on the distance, course menu said 9.3, clue sheet says 9.15, I'm sure actual distance covered is significantly more anyways.

Varying between drizzle and heavy rain, with a few moments of heavy downpour, but at least it was relatively warm.
Nailed 1, then went brain dead on 2, almost running off the map.
Not sure what feature 6 was on, but the control code was right. Got a high five from Tom Jahn there.
Minor bobble on 12, shut my brain off less than 50 m from 13 and decided to wander around before settling down and getting to it. Slow and careful to 14, but went just above it and had to circle back. Lot's of visibility issues with smaller evergreen and my glasses - should have put in my contacts and dealt with issue of being able to see the detail on the map.
To 15, got off track in the logged area, was just right of the line, but thought I was left, ended up circling around the marsh ENE of the control, hitting the trail and coming in from the N.
16 OK, terrain wasn't matching up to 17, and I think there was two trails in there not just one.
18 decided to play it very safe, circled around to the N on the trails and attacked fro the trail bend. Didn't want to go through more of the logged stuff.
Lucky to 19, clean to 20, pretty clean to 21, staying high with generally good visibility. To 22, between the marshes, then just N of the flag, circled into it. Not a lot left on the run to the finish.

Wanted a long run, as I haven't done much of anything in the past 2 weeks, with things being nuts at work. Hopefully be cleaner at the Traverse next weekend.
