Orienteering race 1:41:05 [3] **** 6.3 km (16:03 / km)
ahr:135 max:159 spiked:8/11c shoes: '05 Integrator Hightops

A so so day. Minor error at #2, then a major bobble (15+ minutes) in the boulder field.

Note
(injured)

Finished my run, took a shower and ready to head back and help with grilling then take a turn at the start /finish. But walking from the back of the car to the side and smacked right into a corner of the lift gate with my head. Hurt like hell for a minute or so, shook it off and finished packing. Noticed a drop of blood on my sleeve, then another, and another. Used a paper towel and got it under control.
Drove over to the pavilion and saw Lex - asked her how bad it looked. She said "off to the ER - you need stitches". Started feeling faint and nauseous. Got laid down on the ground and felt better.

Was told that under no circumstances was I to drive myself anywhere. Caved in to logic, called Beth to meet me at the Exeter Hospital ER and to bring a son who could drive my car home.

By the time we got to the ER, the bleeding had pretty much stopped, so no priority. Sat around for 3 1/2 hours, then got 9 staples to pull things back together.

Fortunately, the gash is in the hairline, so it won't mar my devilishly good looks, at least for a couple of years when the hairline recedes back a bit..
The zipper stays in for a week.

Red course at Camping weekend - Saturday
An OK run, had a few problems in areas I shouldn't have and some problems in areas I should have anticipated it and adjusted.
A rather warm day in the 80s, but the humidity wasn't too bad. Still was sweating a lot.

Night-O
JJ's World's Hardest Night-O
With a pack to about #5, a few folks to #6, alone to # 7, then decided I'd had enough. Wasn't mentally ready to head into the depths of the Pawtuckaway boulder field at night.

Run hills (trails) 40:00 [3] 5.4 km (7:24 / km) +206m 6:13 / km
ahr:153 max:169 shoes: Nike Air Assail Trail

Early evening run at Gunstock. Mostly on ski trails, then decided to go up and over the top of Cobble Mtn. For a small hill, there's a lot of up on it.
