orienteering race 1:24:00 [2]

Early start today, and no fog. Better map. Overall much better, though I was feeling hesitant after yesterday's nightmare. Didn't push hard enough physically, as I wasn't all that tired at the end. But on the course I felt like I was running as fast as my navigation would allow ... though possibly I was just in a rut!

orienteering race 1:42:00 [2] ****
spiked:8/14c

Yuck! Late start after 3 hours of solo child care. My mind was not in it at all. And of course suffering from total lack of orienteering lately! Ah well. Feels like cheating to put my full time, as I surely spent a lot of the 1:42 standing still and scratching my head.
Come on ladies, where are everyone else's splits?

orienteering (school event) 30:00 [2]

Medfield High school event - white course to set the time to beat ... and then the three 'challenge controls', with a student shadowing me. He would have done better up the hill if he hadn't been off smoking before we started out!

running warm up/down (road and trail) 39:00 [1]
shoes: pegasus

Took a while to warm up, the session felt great, then felt dead on the warm down. Guess that is better than the other way around ...

running hills (trails) 27:00 [4]
shoes: pegasus

Up the hill in the hospital land next to Concord Ave in Belmont. 12 x about 50 seconds up. Heart rate got up to about 180 (not wearing a monitor today). Really focused on form and driving up the hill. Definitely need to do more of this ... But it felt okay!
