Same deal. One control - number 3. Took what what "some people" believe might have been the best route, but requiring perfect navigation. Ended up in very thick rhododendrons ( happy no one could hear me - I sounded like a DEADWOOD soundtrack) and lost about 5 minutes and a good deal of energy. Longer trail run probably made sense given imperfect O skills.
