Orienteering race 58:48 [4] 6.09 km (9:39 / km) +113m 8:50 / km

NOY 3 -The Chimney. Only one major error, going to 6.

1. Along erosion ditch to corner, then straightish on compass, bit south but saw control.
2. Picked up tracks until close to creek, then straightish hit creek slightly NE of control.
3. Tracks until just after dam.
4. Headed off straight, hit track after road crossing, but not sure exactly where, ended up hitting green patch slightly SW of control.
5. Straight, was about 20m west of control heading further down when saw in creek.
6. Straight to fence corner, parallel to fence, not concentrating, headed down way too early, took a while to work out where I was, follow creeks along to control, lost time, maybe 2-3 minutes.
7. Back along creek to try to go around green to track, along track E to intersection, straight compass to control.
8. Along W of creek until convenient crossing, then other side of creek.
9. Straight, pushed a a little S by vegetation.
10. Straight, though went 10m past control on W of creek.
11. Along creek to convenient crossing, track to junction, straight.
12. Follow erosion to track junction, straightish picking ip tracks for a bit, hit creek to N, along creek.
13. Straightish, confused about which bend up to along way.
14. Out to minor track, track to junction, follow E creek to control.
15. Across creek, around track mess on W edge, back to main track.

Nice afternoon for a ride. Port to Port route marked out and looks like they did some track grooming. Was nice sitting on the rocks in the sun and watching the surf for a rest.

Front derailleur has been playing up so after some maintenance and adjustment this morning was good to test. Still not working quite right and adjustments on the track didn't work so well.
