Orienteering (Race) 2:02:28 [4] 11.8 km (10:23 / km)

& 540m ideal climb (haven't figured actual.)

BillyGoat. 35th. Near/led Erin for much of 1st 1/2. Foot got sore (slowly building up soreness, nothing noticably sharp...) so slowed to ~1/2 walk, 1/2 jog for 3rd quarter of course (intesity 2-3). Foot felt better so picked up pace for last quarter, and foot only got sore again in last 5 minutes and on and off after I finished. Finished ~10 minutes behind Erin (and 7 seconds ahead of Pavlina.) Even if foot was 100%, fitness would probably have limited me to about Erin's time or so.

Lightly sore (dull ache) on and off while waiting around after and on car ride home. Mostly on now that I'm home. Not great, but not bad considering the abuse. I should probably stretch again. And get new running shoes soon. Barefoot is starting to feel better than those ol' shoes.

One more foot-abusive weekend (Team Trials) and then 4(?) mostly-base/easy weeks until PNWOF... Hopefully the foot will be totally recovered both during (and after) races by PNWOF.

Took friday off due to rest-for-BillyGoat + mild sore throat, but did a light swim w/AJ in evening.
Foot lightly sore on and off today (Sat.) and Fri. No good reason ex. perhaps rain storms.

Orienteering 22:33 [2] 3.05 km (7:24 / km)

Flat grass & trails park O'. Ran a 3 week old come'n'try it White from a park near my CA office.

R-heel blister sore so used running shoe, not O' shoe on R-foot (L had O shoe.) Blister not too bad during run, got better in midday, and a little sore by evening. Fine next day.

(new) L-hamstring a little sore in afternoon and evening, okay next morning...

Throat still lightly sore in AM, so skipped planned calero O'.

Easy run, on hard packed trails and some pavement, breaking in new O' shoes (3rd run.) Blistered R-heel. R-foot normal spot fine (didn't notice anything bad at all.)

R-forefoot still sore walking around, though not as bad. Light gym
with moderate foot/ankle work. 10 min run at 2. Tired even though (or
because) got 9.5 hr. sleep. Throat still lightly sore.

Feet a little sore in abnormal ways. Right arch had a quick sharp pain (that immediately disappeared) while walking through the airport with bags at about noon. This afternoon, my R-forefoot has gotten pretty sore, generally. The normal spot is fine. Odd. Assuming this weird forefoot thing goes away, I'm on for the BillyGoat. But then there's this light sore throat coming on...
