Turned one trail early for 3, realized it, and attacked diagonally up the hill.

Missed maybe 20m right on 7. Can't believe it was that far off---maybe---but I suspect a minor map issue.

Tried to save distance going straight to 8 from the trail rather than the very minor around on the trail---mistake---control was surrounded by greenish and trail approach was much easier.

11 was crazy. For me, a long walk across a field trying to read the map and match it to details I could see. Control was behind a round fence or something---some area feature I needed to look at more. I saw the ball diamond fences, aimed, and read the map more. Realized the round area feature was in fact a man-made object circle. The only objects I could see were small shelters. Kinda went, "That's weird, but okay maybe?" So I adjusted my walk a bit left to the new "shelter" attackpoint. (Again, WTF), then I saw frisbee golfers and a frisbee golf chain device. Realized the enormous 20m diameter circles were nearly invisible gray chain point features, and the much bigger shelters were tiny, tiny, tiny gray squares with no black border. Very odd mapping, maybe? Maybe normal? Adjusted back right to the chains, and there it was. Did a nice loud grunty fall walking back to the grass. (orunner also had the same thought process, but didn't have frisbee golfers helping him realize the truth, so he lost maybe 2 minutes.)

I got some KN95s because of the talk about the new more contagious variants. They're so much better than surgical masks. Mine fold flat and are like a vertical duck bill. They're so nice. I can really breathe easy in them. I did an experiment today, and wore it on my course. Even for the very high HR finish, where I was sucking air, I could breathe fine. I took it off after I finished and the air was so cold. (Forecast high was 37F, and that seems about right.) My beard was soaking wet from condensation, though.

KN95 advice: Mine come folded flat, and the metal piece in the nose is tightly bent. You have to open the metal piece basically flat, and then bend it around your nose.

Just a wonderful, blue sky, sunny day. I ran in a long-sleeve t-shirt. Basically heaven.
