Running 33:33 [3] 4.21 km (7:58 / km) +70m 7:21 / km
shoes: Brooks

One-hill route with a loop of the rec center. Just about the only reason I ran tonight was to avoid having zero time logged for the week.

Felt pretty good. Found another cool song that got my legs moving fast---"Superman" by Goldfinger (corrected---I can't read while running, apparently). It's from the soundtrack to a Tony Hawks Pro Skater Game. It's a ska sound, sort of like the Mighty Mighty Bosstones with less angry vocals. Climbing the long hill, the fast songs just weren't cutting it, and the shuffle mode found "Two Tribes" by Frankie Goes to Hollywood. It had a strong beat that my legs never matched---maybe it matched by breathing, or maybe it was just a strong beat. But I was struggling, and it seemed to help.

Headlamp news. A tab from the pack to the connector broke while someone at work was handling it, so I had a new tab welded on. I resoldered it, and then used hot-melt glue to hold the connector stationary to the pack. I also used the glue to strain-relieve the cell-to-cell connections. It's ready to heat shrink after I take some photos. This seems to be a really nice way to make a pack reliable. Time will tell. And, yes, I am embarrassed that I wore it running tonight.
