Running 32:45 [4] 4.2 km (7:48 / km) +75m 7:10 / km
shoes: Brooks

Ran around the rec center with Katie. It's been a few days since I ran last, and I won't be able to run hard until the Sprint Series, so I ran harder than normal. I'm definitely feeling better and running faster. Coming up the hill I did mini intervals, but harder than I have been, and with less recovery. At 22 minutes, Katie wanted to beat 32min, so we hoofed it in, barely missing it (she was 15 sec over).

Leg update: I realized over the weekend that I've had the lower leg edema for a very long time. At least 8 months, and possibly 20 months or more. I went to the doctor today, and my blood pressure was a little high, so I now have some very weak medication for that (meaning, not the big gun medication, but the let's-tweak-the-situation-a-little medication). I'm using less salt and drinking lots of water.

Until my doctor squished the skin over my shin bone, I never knew I had this. What makes me know I've had it for so long, I realized watching the TV on Sunday. When I sit on the floor (after cutting the grass), I cross my legs. When I uncross them, there is a dent in the bottom leg. I can't even remember when I first saw that. I never realized it was edema. I should have recognized that my socks leave grooves around my legs.
