Social run at Belding, easy pace, frequent stops to regroup and admire the various decorated conifer groves throughout the area. Back of legs a little tight, so I opted not to join the group that was adding on a couple more miles in Valley Falls. Weren't bothering me at all, but didn't feel compelled to do more today.

Light rain, low 40s. Smaller turnout than last week, not unexpected. Goal today was to ease up to around 160bpm (near max) on way up the hill, then settle into a groove to maintain that HR as long as possible. Started to lag a bit after the 5km point but otherwise managed to sit in 6th spot most of the way around until some guy came sailing past me in the chute. So looks like 7th overall today..

{edit: Results have me in 6th and 1st M50+. Someone must have dropped part way - Carlos was running in front of me for a while, and he often doesn't run all the way to the tape for reasons unknown...}

Not my slowest Snowstorm 10k, unlike last weeks personal worst... and plenty of room for improvement into 2020...
