A little over 3 minutes faster than two weeks ago. Conversational pace, actually met & chatted with Doug Guertin most of the way. About 10 minutes in he came up behind, commented on my Hokas & after varied idle chat turns out he was also out in SD for the WRC in August. He wasn't racing but his wife Mary was.. Small world

Just steady spinning, but the last 10 minutes or so just really dragged and the legs felt like jello when I hopped off the bike. Need to reorient the trainer and put a small fan or two to limit the perspiration drips... Basement around 40F these days but still generate a good sweat...

The obligatory end of year wrap up.

First three months were good - had some speed, got in decent long runs and so forth. Then, due to a variety of reasons things just kind of went south. Had a great time backpacking for 2 weeks with Jackson in New Mexico, then 3 week road trip with Hayden in August to WY, CO & SD. Then not much of anything for the rest of the year. No real goal races, and limited time & motivation to train.
