Jackson had a meeting @ Camp Johnson, so tossed on the running stuff and headed up the hill, down the rail trail a bit then up the Rose Trail for a cw loop of the Bolton XC course. Nice night for running, but damn do I feel old & slow...

Troop campout for September will include a hike out to the Tri-State marker in Buck Hill WMA in RI - so I was asked to do a recon run to assess a route for the boys. Using a topo with with a few jeep roads but seriously lacking in trails and good data - so while it was entirely on trails, it certainly had a rogaine 'feel' to it so I'll count it as rogaine training. One control point - the Tri-State marker - successful - trails coming into it from three directions, but none of which were on the map. A good run though another day of very humid weather.
