Run - Trail long (Case Mtn) 1:42:50 [3] 15.0 km (6:51 / km) +500m 5:53 / km
shoes: old 285 Roclite A

Nice early AM training run with Turco, Buongiorno & the Goat.

Brisk pace, but felt pretty good all the way around - probably the best I've felt on the push back up the Shenipsit Trail on Case coming back than I've felt in a long time.

Run - Trail (Shenipsit) 59:30 [3] 9.5 km (6:16 / km)
shoes: 340 ORoc 2010

Took my furlough day today (boys were off from school for parent/teacher conferences) and had a nice AM trail run at Shenipsit. Cold, but sun just starting to come into the woods. Opted to follow a couple trails I had never ventured on before. I had previously assumed they just cut back toward Gulf Rd and dumped out, but in fact form an additional network of 4+km of bike trails. A number of intersections with additional trails for me to explore another day. Had to get home to shower and go to conferences. Both boys doing very well academically this year, but both are lacking in the class participation department - lots of day dreaming going on...

Hiking (Bigelow Hollow) 2:42:15 [1] 7.3 km (22:14 / km)
shoes: old 285 Roclite A

Herding cats, er, geocaching with the boys, at Bigelow Hollow. Jackson, Hayden and one of Jacksons school friends since they were off today.

Cold, mid 30's and low sun made for dark, chilly woods. I dressed for a hike, but the intermittent and pokey nature of our walk meant I was getting pretty cold, though the boys claimed they were fine. Found 4, missed one. Last one we found was first of an unknown number in a multi-cache. So we left it for another day...
