Ran the whole Soapstone course with Sony
to make sure all is ready for Sunday's Soapstone Mountain Trail Races
. Plenty of muddy spots, great new single track sections in the first loop, a fair flow in the streambed and I think Killer Hill got just a little steeper this year. But for the most part the course is very runnable with solid footing.
My Inov-8's are pretty much totally shot - so my feet were moving around in them far more than is healthy - feet pretty abused at this point. Also my glutes/hamstrings feeling quite sore. Only took one bottle with me (forgot to bring the second) and I really should have had two - that might account for the muscle aches.
But for the most part quite happy to have gotten out and run something long for a change - I probably wouldn't have persevered without company though.
