Run - Trail (Soapstone recon) 35:59 [3] 5.25 km (6:51 / km)
shoes: Roclite 312gtx

reports of tree on the Soapstone course, so I went out to investigate. Noting a couple minutes with pruning shears won't fix so I'll go back out during the week (didn't think to bring them with me today). Calves still tired from yesterday. Cool to start - about 38F.

Run - Trail long (Steeles <>VF<>Belding) 2:07:10 [3] 14.0 mi (9:05 / mi)
rhr:48 slept:7.5 weight:168lbs shoes: NB 790 {green}

w/ John & Deb (Scott joined us for the first couple pushing the Chariot). Steeles Crossing to Bolton Notch to Valley Fall Loop then up around Belding loop and return. Added a bonus loop up on the ridge at Valley Falls. Rain & thunder on & off- but generally quite pleasant. Legs very tired by the end though. 14 miles + wet shirt = should have worn nipple protection. yowsa! (and not in a swampfox sorta way)

Bike - MTN (Commute) 49:00 [3] 12.5 mi (3:55 / mi)
rhr:47 slept:5.0 weight:168lbs

Pack of coyotes woke me up about 12:30am - they were right outside the bedroom and we had the window open - so they might have well been in bed with us. Damn noisy beasts. Cat not impressed. Didn't start to fall back to sleep until close to 4.

Since I've got the LWB 'bent up for sale, I opted to ride the Mtn Bike to work. Had to stop and readjust the seat post, and certainly feeling the different muscles come into play on the hills, but not a bad ride. Fingers got numb toward the end due to nerve issues (one of the reasons I prefer 'bents) and my ass certainly isn't accustomed to a 'normal' bike seat anymore. But the goal was to get to work in a reasonable time frame - and that I did.

And it puts me on the hook for at least 50 minutes more exercise later on since its the only way home....

Bike - MTN (Commute) 56:00 [3] 12.5 mi (4:29 / mi)

Nice afternoon for a ride home. thankful the forecast t-storms didn't materialize. Tail bones very sore. May reconsider riding again tomorrow.

Run - Trail intervals (Vernon Rail Trail) 22:20 intensity: (17:53 @3) + (4:27 @5) 5.0 km (4:28 / km)
shoes: Roclite 312gtx

late night run after Strider meeting. Easy 1.5m, 8min pace, then 3 400m intervals at 5km pace - 1:31, 1:29, 1:27 - with 400m recovery @ 8min pace. Nice night out, not much for mileage, but not a zero either.
