Note

Got in late last night, so with a 4:30am start, and mostly paved roads, I opted to bow out of this mornings run. Maybe I'll go for a run this afternoon if I get a chance...

Hiking 30:00 [0] 2.0 km (15:00 / km)
shoes: NB 474

quick walk after work with Jackson - up to 140 and back, then down SLR toward the lake a little - gorgeous evening, not enough time for any more..

Run - Road (Chipmunk Chase) 26:07 [3] 5.0 km (5:13 / km)
shoes: NB 790 {orange}

Happy Feet fun run - 1km official loop (paved trail), I ran 5 easy loops, boys claimed to have run 6, I think they just did 5 though... Nice day...

Bruce, Mark & Scott planning on 50m tomorrow AM - I might join them at 4:30 for the first 18 or so, then I've got to be off to work...

Note

Looking at the Nipmuck Grand Tree results, I see my time as good for 66 points, which is a couple better than my AP ranking points (64). So the time was pretty much 'on par' for me...

Run - Trail hills (Soapstone / Sykes) 1:10:00 [3] 12.5 km (5:36 / km) +300m 5:00 / km
shoes: Adidas Response Trail 14

Bruce and Mark said they were going to run at Soapstone today at 5, so I got up and went up to join them for part of it. But no one there, so I did the airport run, over the mountain and down the dirt road to Ellington Airport and back. About halfway through the run, it occurred to me that perhaps they meant 5PM, not AM. But 5AM is when I usually run with those guys, so it was a decent guess. Or maybe they just blew me off and slept in... Anyway, I had to get to work, so I kept it at a pretty decent pace, ran the entire way back up the mountain. Will try Peters walk:run suggestion another time...

time/dist/climb all estimates. GPS kept losing signal - at one point it claimed I was running at 40+ km/hr - and not just a momentary blip, this was over a minute - but I think it had lost signal for quite a bit before I looked at it and was thus averaging my pace over a very short time interval.

Hiking (Shafran) 45:00 [0] 3.5 km (12:51 / km)
shoes: Adidas Response Trail 14

after dinner walk with Jackson and Hayden

Hiking (Crandalls) 30:00 [0] 2.25 km (13:20 / km)
shoes: NB 474

Went for a walk with Jackson from TIS over to Crandalls, up around by the lodge, spent a bit of time by the pond watching wildlife, then back to TIS and then off to pick up Anna from Art Club...

Note

Pretty tired today, didn't sleep too well last night, but no soreness of any sort. I really expected things to be somewhat delicate going down stairs this AM, but nothing..... Probably still a bit of dehydration...
