Orienteering (Brainard Red) 1:18:00 [4] 6.2 km (12:35 / km)

Good run, but never found flag on #7 so technically a DNF. Hit the center of circle cleanly, but saw no flag in 350m line of cliffs, checked bottom twice all the way to both ends and also tops in case clue was wrong. Talking to others it was apparently tucked below a small unmapped cliff halfway up. Anyway, I gave up after 15 and had a good rest of run - Probably would have been close to 60min without error. Opted to run yellow on 1:5000 to get a speed workout in.

1:5000 map, speed work - clean all the way... Fun running...

Did white with Anna (5 years old) - Good walk...

Run - Trail (Sampler + Moonlight) 57:00 [3] 11.5 km (4:57 / km)

8:00am - ran with Bruce, Kevin & Bob - ran ahead of the crowd. Nice crisp morning, but oak leaves made some sections rather treacherous..

6:20am - 5 min warmup followed by 5min/km with 1min hill variations:
4/2/-2/0/6/3/-3/0/8/4/-4/0/10/5/-5/0 Cooldown....

6:00am - Ran a brisk 5km trying to maintain HR at 166-171 (93-95%). Slight uphill on the first half, allowed a -3% downhill for the back half.
