Run - Mixed (around campus) 18:14 [3] 4.0 km (4:34 / km)

sunny, 60 - working the holiday and needed to kill an hour before rechecking things. Short run around campus - mostly sidewalks today. Time for a shower, recheck the watering and then go home for some turkey...

Note

Official results from Sessions Woods do show me at 65:34 in 5th place. But my watch had the correct number of splits and all the numbers were good for my pace and/or errors made. So my 64:09 would appear to be my correct running time. Not sure where the error was, but 64:09 was good for 2nd place - but its a local meet - no biggie...

Orienteering (Session Woods Red) 1:05:39 [4] 6.3 km (10:25 / km)
spiked:12/15c

Nice day, nice map, nice course. A couple route choices could have been better, no major errors. Not running too fast though, surprising to be within a few minutes of Peter G and a bunch of other top runners at the end. Will post splits later - my watch and my official meet time are about a minute and a half off. I'll see what the splits look like. The time posted here is my official meet time. My watch says 1:04:09.

Note

Interesting note, looking at split graph of me vs Peter (only ones posted, and Peter had best time when I left) the difference between my time and 'superman' was 3:12, my estimated errors on the course were 3:50 - pretty damn close and likely to become closer as other runners add better times to superman. But I suppose it indicates my estimation of time lost is fairly accurate. Now I just need to do is eliminate that time lost and become faster in the terrain. Legs felt fine today, but cardio sucks...

Run - Mixed (UConn Campus) 27:40 [3] 6.0 km (4:37 / km) +100m 4:15 / km

Ran around campus, mostly off sidewalks, up embankments, along the woods, tops of retaining walls, etc. Then ran onto the track for 800m then back to work. Distance estimated from track pace which was pretty similar to what I was running 'in terrain'
