Slept in past daybreak, no particular rush to get out the door, only to find no precip in southern New England (yet). Perhaps I'll go put my hours in at Gay City, see if I still remember how to carry a map. Maybe even pasi style.

Run - Trail long (Gay City) 2:23:03 11.91 mi (12:01 / mi) +329m11:04 / mi ahr:116 max:138 (injured)shoes: 340 ORoc 2010
A long easy jaunt on trails to get some of my hours in. A couple of falls, but no damage. R heel bothering me a bit, adjusted shoes/socks a couple times and also switched shoes before O. But still got a blister - probably because the liner is worn completely out in heel of those shoes. Might be time to toss them. Watch lost GPS for the last 20 minutes or so (no time info on watch), yet the track seems to be fine... Hmmm. Maybe the GPS lost track, but the Glonass stayed operational? Last time it did this the track was a mess..
Orienteering race (Gay City Red) 59:15*** 4.2 mi (14:06 / mi) +167m12:34 / mi ahr:143 max:167 spiked:13/14c (injured)shoes: 340 ORoc 2011
Red course, Ikonen style aka sans compass. Actually felt really good running in forest since it's been a long time since I've done so. The base fitness must be paying off. Pretty much ran the entire way with exception of a couple steeper hillsides. Everything spot on except #13 - I had a visual impression of a wall fragment, was thinking it was wall fragment to north, so stayed right and wound up losing maybe a minute coming N along stream. And there was the flag, hanging on the wall I had visualized as being the wrong one.

Note
And, because I really should have put in 5 hours of running today to make my weekly goal, I considered heading back out for another 90 minutes of running. But since I just had one of my cleanest O runs in years, albeit on home turf, I elected not to sully the moment with anything more and headed home. A pair of 3.5 hours days ain't bad..
