Ran the whole Soapstone course with
Sony to make sure all is ready for Sunday's
Soapstone Mountain Trail Races. Plenty of muddy spots, great new single track sections in the first loop, a fair flow in the streambed and I think Killer Hill got just a little steeper this year. But for the most part the course is very runnable with solid footing.
My Inov-8's are pretty much totally shot - so my feet were moving around in them far more than is healthy - feet pretty abused at this point. Also my glutes/hamstrings feeling quite sore. Only took one bottle with me (forgot to bring the second) and I really should have had two - that might account for the muscle aches.
But for the most part quite happy to have gotten out and run something long for a change - I probably wouldn't have persevered without company though.
