Broke down and bought a magnetic trainer for the bike so that I could at least get some exercise in later in the evening after the kids are in bed. Otherwise I'm just not getting anything in. Everyone says that riding the trainer is too boring for words, but I didn't find it too bad. Just kicked back and read The Adventures of the Barefoot Sisters - a book about a couple of sisters who hiked the AT from Maine to Georgia, then back again - barefoot. Still in Maine on the sobo side of the trip, but enjoyable reading so far. Probably helps that one of the authors works for me as a tour guide....
Could have easily kept reading (and riding) but cut it short at 40 minutes. Haven't done squat for 2 months (more actually) and don't want to overdo things too quickly. But I think this will allow me to at least get some physical exercise most days.
