New treadmills at the gym, have a 5k option with continuous HR readout, also have sub-max fitness test built in.

Ran the 5k adjusting speed to keep HR just under 160, ran the last 500m full out.

Note

Cold is slowly going away, but still have crap in my chest and a bit of sinus congestion.

Tried out the sub max fitness test - 3.4mph, incrementing 1% slope per minute to 12%. Not sure how it claims to derive a VO2 value from heart rate, but I suppose I could use it as a relative measure. Today's VO2 = 59.3
