Orienteering 18:18 [4] 2.2 km (8:19 / km)
shoes: Inov8-MudrockIII

OCIN, FAST-O at Miami Middletown, Course 1. Very fun course, and a nice and much-appreciated use of the MUM map for a summer-time sprint. There were quite a few cleverly-designed opportunities be be distracted, so even though the course was easy, it did demand some concentration. It was good to get some hill running, even if one leg's climb (13/14) seemed pretty gratuitous.

Orienteering 18:41 [4] 2.4 km (7:47 / km)

OCIN, FAST-O, Miami Middletown, Course 2. Another very fun course, now getting to punch several controls that I had seen while running course 1. I made a pretty dumb mistake at the end by skipping the GO control, finishing, and then hanging around the finish area for perhaps a minute and a half before realizing that I had missed a control.

Control. pickup 25:00 [1] 2.0 mi (12:30 / mi)
shoes: Inov8-MudrockIII

Slowly swept up most of the controls on the south of the map.

Still running out at HW in my desire to avoid going through Oxford during the crazy first days of school. This time, I went to the East side of Acton Lake. The trails were generally in good condition, with patches here-and-there that have been badly torn-up by horse travel.
