Just got back from a four-hour ride from the rogaine, so I don't have all the details to post, but the 6-hour rogaine was way too challenging for me, both physically and for my meager O-skill set.
The map was very accurate, the courses were well designed, and all the controls in the right location, so any misgivings about the race were purely from my poor performance. Although I did end up as second supervet, probably out of three runners. LOL
Glen Tryon was third veteran and had 1800 plus points to my 1200 plus points.
My big mistake was opting to stay in the cabins the night before the race--it was wicked cold, the wind was howling and shaking the metal roof on the cabin, all leading to practically no sleep at all. I should know better--I'm getting too old for that. :-)
