After-dinner walk with Colette--mainly to loosen up the knee after yesterday's Billygoat pounding.

First Billygoat in a while, and with my bad knee and lack of conditioning, it was a tough one. Fortunately, I made only one really dumb mistake that cost about 8 minutes, but the lack of conditioning really resulted in a pretty slow rate of progress.

Nice to finish, however; and I love the T-shirt!

Time to try and resume some normal training, since the knee seems to be tolerating the running fairly well. So off to the Thursday night group run from the Arcadian Shop into Kennedy Park. Some hills, but nothing super killer. I struggled to run a time that I used to do on an easy training run, but I've got to start somewhere. :-)

My buddy, Bruce Shenker, left me in the dust. Need to drop about 6-7 pounds and I should be able to keep close then.

Wow, two days in a row of running--but today's outing was on trails in Kennedy Park. While the uphills were duly noted, the knee did not seem to complain much at all, so that is encouraging. Missed Colette, who had already run earlier in the day (she made me write this).
