Ratlum Mountain Holiday International Night-O Long course

About 10-15 cm snow on the ground (and on everything else) and snowing. It was just great to be out there with a headlamp. Beautiful.
Went straight to 1, or tried to, got stuck in mountain laurel or something. From 5 to 6 I got stuck again as I went to low in the "light green". Had trouble finding 8, had to go back out to the trail. Leaving 8 I couldn't find the trail that goes to 9, was down by the water turned around to eventually find the trail junction, it was hard to see because branches heavy loaded with snow was hanging down over it. By 13 I got a bit surprised from the super quiet photographer.. maybe that's what scared me to mess up 14 so bad? I attacked it without an attackpoint (my specialty) and so I didn't find it, went to the trail and until I got oriented where I was on the trail it took me a while.

Ratlum Mountain Holiday International Night-O Short course

Certainly not every day you get to do this so I went out on the second course too.. Some of the controls were the same. Had trouble finding 5, couldn't see where the trail bended and couldn't think of something else to use as attackpoint. Had some trouble with 7 (2 on the other course) this time. Again a flash went off by 10 (13) and then by 11. Explanation: Charlie told his local hunter to put up his cameras aimed at these controls, some pictures actually came out good =)
When we looked at the pictures from these cameras there were also pictures from earlier, showing what the hunter puts them up for.. a buck, a bobcat, a coyote and a bear(!) See picture: http://www.attackpoint.org/userprofile.jsp/user_44

ran 2.32 km
