track6:01 [5] 1.6 km (3:46 / km) shoes: Air Max Trail
I was chatting with Bob Lux yesterday evening about how fast we could run a mile in these days. I think I remember saying I thought I could get under 6. So today I had to try, and despite a good effort, under 6 was not to be. 6:01.5 for 1600 meters, add a couple seconds to get a mile time. Didn't feel particularly zippy, so on a better day it should be possible.

Operating under the theory of "if you aren't going to train much, at least train hard," it was back to the track with the usual group (all non-orienteers except for Phil). 6 x 800 with a 2 minute rest between, 3:08, 3:06, 3:05, 3:00, 3:01, 3:05. First 3 felt easy, last three hard, almost bagged it after one lap on the last one.
