NOL 2 - Long Distance
8:31 AM. Belair NP. Burned 1197 calories.
Course: M21E 12.7 km 585 m
EPIC. Took off nice and slow in order to save my legs for later. I needed them. Should've actually walked the first bit and ran the rest. I enjoyed the adventure, but hate those rocks..... And Simon made us go thorugh them twice.
I had to help one of the W21E get untangled from a tree which had caught in her hair. That was funny. by the latter part of the course i had gone from "race" mentality to "survive" mentality and minimised all my climb, which meant some longer route choices. This afternoon has been spent refuelling the body with the equivalent of 5 Mars Bars i burnt out on the course.

Course: M21E 3.0 km 130 m
It was hot, and i knew i would be slow, but geez, i walked on a sprint.... Had a fair bit of fun on this though! No major mistakes and i think i picked all the optimal route choices.

SA Sprint Orienteering Championships
5:29 PM. Waite. Burned 335 calories.
Course: M21A 2.9 km 50 m
Was equally slow on this. Wore my headcam, but forgot to charge the battery, so only got 16min of my course. Again felt i picked the majority of the optimum route choice, but really have no zoom in my legs. Must do something about that sometime...

It is Monday, so we went running. Troy and I talked about weddings - little bit emasculating, but that is what is on our minds right now.
