Orienteering race 59:31 [4]
shoes: x talon 212

ANOC long out at slater rd. We all started in quick succession, so was a bit of pressure at the start. Made a hash of 1 and 4 losing a minute on each, and got passed by 3 people, so a great start. Bit of a average/ hilly route on the long leg. Was pretty steady and clean down the bottom from 5 to 14 so quite happy with that. Then heading up the hill on the farmland my achillies got real tight and saw again, so just had to walk pretty slowly, which was a bit annoying, probs lost 1 min to 15 then 2 mins to 16 from just not being able to run. Lost 2 min at 17, didn't pay much attention getting there, and then didn't make much sense of the map (which was a bit dodgy). Rest was fine, apart from a bad route to 21, which wasn't really intentional. SO yeah a bit mixed, but its nice being able to see that I could take 7 mins off if I wasn't such a muppet and was able to run up the hill. On the upside my legs aren't tired from the hill, and had a bit of fun out there.

Biking (road) 1:00:00 [3]

usual local loop on the road bike. Bloody nice evening for it and really enjoyed it. Felt good too, nice and strong, so did plenty of sprints and standing efforts.

Orienteering race 28:11 [4]
shoes: x talon 212

ANOC am race. Course was really easy, in saying that made one mistake on 6 where I was too low, relied too much on some dodgy clearings which was a bit silly. Achillies were really tight after a few controls, so stopped to stretch a couple of times, were bloody saw by the end, and slowed me down quite a bit.

Orienteering race 35:47 [4]
shoes: x talon 212

ANOC pm race. Course and map was a bit more interesting for this one, but still pretty easy technically. Only mishaps were going to 7 where my shoe came off in a bog, so that was a bit of a drama. Then going to 10 I took a very direct route, which was pretty slow, so lost a bit there. Other than that is was just pace up the hills, of which I walked quite a bit. Achillies was still a little tight but nothing like the mornings race.

Orienteering 1:00:00 [4]
shoes: x talon 212

Training on middle earth, not sure on exact time. Did a short middle sort of course, twice over, went alright had to be relatively precise, just having toilet paper controls. Then did same course again seeing how clean we could do it a second time. still made 1 mistake. was pretty tiring too. Then did a quick relocation exercise, which was quite hard on the main slope, where the features were quite vague. Was a bit orienteered out today, so didn't have the most fun, but still a good bit of exercise running in terrain I suppose

Orienteering race 30:45 [5]
shoes: x talon 212

Nationals relay, 1st leg. Always a bit of fun, and pretty hard work. Had a good run, only really made a couple of small mistakes, but don't think I lost anytime overall as I managed to catch back up to the people I was chasing. Was focussing a bit hard on keeping up to do that much map reading, just tried to make sure the person in front was heading the right way haha. finished in 6th for my leg and not far behind, so pretty happy with my fitness
