Orienteering race (Long) 1:41:25 [4]

classic at Waioneke. Started off pretty steady, av route to 3, ran right above 7, so lost a bit of time there. Could of done a bit better on my route to 8, but didn't see it at the time, probs lost a min, fighting rhtough green, when I didn't really need to.Stuffed up 9, losing a min there.bad route and slightlyoff on 10, losing another min there. Felt like a really slow route to 13, thinking going around the bottom would of been quicker, lost time on most there. Stuffed up my route to 14, then lost atleast another min just being slightly below the control.slow to 16. didn't read 19 right, thought it was slightly in the forest so lost over a min searching in the forest, turns out it was right in the open, oops. Stuffed up my route to 23. Stopped right above 24 and didn't see it so lost atleast 30 sec there. slow on 25, then stuffed up 26, didn't read it very well and was searching too low for it, lost well over a min there. So yeah was a very messy run really, countless mistakes. Wasn't too bad up to 13, but then kind of fell apart. On the positive side, didn't have any big mistakes and fitness wise I felt really good, struggled a wee bit up the hills, but never got too tired, and felt fine at the end

Orienteering race (sprint) 15:38 [5]

Nationals sprint! At Kristin. little slow on the first couple, bad route to 1. Then kind of just quite slow later on in Kristin when it got a bit tight and the controls were closed together. struggled to keep up with the map and had to stop a couple of times. Also a average route choice or two in there. lost a little on the deck one as well, then pushed hard to the finish. Ended up 4th which was a bit suprising to say the least, considering I didn't have that cleaner run. Stoked with the result though.

Orienteering race ('long') 46:25 [4]
shoes: x talon 212

bit slow on 1 and 4, then didn't make much sense of 6 and lost atleast a min or so there, map was dodgy. small mistakes on 10 and 11, 12 was in the wrong place, slow to 13. went to high on 14 and expected it to be a bit more in the green so kind of tryed to search there, turns out I was just to high and it was right next to the track (very yellow control haha), lost about 90 sec there. Then there was 15, guess I just didn't read the map very well... thought I went to the end of the spur, but apparently not, was a bit stupid, anyhow wasted a few mins there, then trotted back into the finish. better to do it now than next week I suppose.

Orienteering race (middle) 30:28 [4]
shoes: x talon 212

not too sure on the time yet, can't be too far off though just depends how long i took for 1. felt a bit tired from the start. didn't orientate my map to well to 3 and made a very silly mistake, and got confused at what the hell I had done, so wasted atleast 90 sec there. That kind of threw me of for the next few controls and I'm sure I lost plenty of time on all of them, rushing, and not thinking straight. Managed to slow it down a bit and compose my self and was kind of ok from then on. bit slow to 9, 14 and 15 though. This showed me how easy it is to fuck up a few in a row, if you lose your concentration, was ridiculously crap from 3 through to 6. Rest felt ok, just a bit tired to really run fast, mainly up the hills. Still was good to get in some reasonable orienteering before nats.

checking/finding control sites off in the green off beautiful hills. Found a couple of nice and challenging sites, so was quite productive. legs were pretty tired, so allot of it was just tramping (not that the terrain allowed allot more), bit of running back out at the end though
