Anticipated rain, and I wasn't disappointed. Lovely conditions but the headwind on the last 500m was not appreciated.

Every sector 3-5 seconds slower than last time, except for the first where i was 3 seconds faster. Miss Consistency!
Due to rain and earlier sunrise times it was very dark this morning while I shovelled down a banana for breakfast. A bit of thunder during the run, but no perceivable lightning.

Tried to visualise lakeview's course while i was running. Put in some surges but slipped back a little further than I'd like when i eased off.

Default position - wore old shoes. Emerging course setter APl made an interesting course around rockman's old stomping ground. No warm up and APl admitted his first course setting mistake was to make all the open running into the sea breeze!
No nav challenge (as with most of this style of event) but very pleasant to be out. Even more encouraging was to see the wide usage of the big parklands in this area by/for kids afternoon activities. Congratulations to all the coaches!
Rain held off.
