orienteering 1:30:00 [3]

thunder, lightening, rain, mud, waist deep rivers, freezing cold... wait i like to call an awesome day!

Lachy and josh had awesomes run and in general the all the boys did really well. the girls on the other hand.... well we had fun and i think for the first time ever we all got double yanked and turked. :D
great fun. i dont think we are all too down by our epics wanderings at no. 4 but are amazed that we finished considering the circumstances. we are dumb struck as to how Ida ran so fast. She is a true champ.

orienteering 15:00 [3]

Yah sprint!!!
This was crazy. The map was the combination of two towns south of Primeiro. We began in the intricate old town sections went through a huge paddock and then ended up in another town section. We ended in a sport arena and it was awesome to see all the people screaming in the stands. The large screen TV was also cool. Very well done Italy Cant wait for the Long tomorrow. ALSO!!! well done to Aislinn who came 28th!!!! and lachy who i think came 38th.

Aislinn: "It was really smooth, and i didnt make any mistakes...i dont know what else to say"

Also the timing system was a bit wrong and the places are not official yet. We believe Leons time is 40sec faster. Damn Light beam.

Opening ceremony:

WAS AWESOME! there were so many people and lots of craszy ALpen dancing. Really got the whole team pumped and so good to see so many Aussies in the crowd. During the march all you hear was the Aussies crying out "Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi"

orienteering 1:20:00 [3]

Primiero and that valley full of Jwoc maps:
1/7/09
Hmmm, hungry. Today the team went to Primiero to check out the Jwoc accommodation and the Jwoc maps. The towns Imer, Mezzano and San Martino Di Castrozza are all embargoed but we were able to drive through the main streets of those towns and not stop. We just drove really slowly ;)

We did a middle training at some map near San Martino. It was awful. Well for me it was. I did 33mins for a 2.5km course. I should have done about 25mins but it was just sooo gay. Ew. We then did sprint training in a small town north of Primiero. Was crazy cool. Lots of underpasses and little ally ways. What the sprint on Monday will be like. Crazzzzzy cool.
We are now tired?and want to go to sleep. Luckily tomorrow is a sleep in and we only have to train once. We are doing a relay tomorrow that will emulate the relay at Jwoc.

ALSO the drive up to Priemiero is a death trap!! its pretty much one lane, very windy and full of trucks. OMG the amount of times that NIck almost hit a car coming around a corner...im pretty sure all of us aged 20years while driving up there.
