First time on trainer with no brace. Actually felt find, even did some standing intervals. Peroneal tendons are a little tight still, can't really flex the ankle much. So riding for three weeks with a walking boot might not be as bad as I thought?

Second full day of walking with no boot. Trying to get rid of the limp before going back to square 0 after surgery. Ankle is stiff but strength is decent. Most of the limp is mental. Pivoting and pushing off I can feel the stretched peroneal tendons so trying to avoid that. Attachment point of the retinaculum is still tender. 3.5 days left of wearing a left shoe. Need to buy some flip flops.

Cleared by the doctor to do pretty much whatever I want up to the surgery next week. Got back on the bike to see how it felt. Felt good an horrible all at the same time.

Starting to not feel like a total outsider around all the meatheads. They might be accepting the skinny newcomer?

Conveniently waited for the "2 day sore" to set in. Starting to figure out a routine though.
