First time on trainer with no brace. Actually felt find, even did some standing intervals. Peroneal tendons are a little tight still, can't really flex the ankle much. So riding for three weeks with a walking boot might not be as bad as I thought?
Second full day of walking with no boot. Trying to get rid of the limp before going back to square 0 after surgery. Ankle is stiff but strength is decent. Most of the limp is mental. Pivoting and pushing off I can feel the stretched peroneal tendons so trying to avoid that. Attachment point of the retinaculum is still tender. 3.5 days left of wearing a left shoe. Need to buy some flip flops.
Cleared by the doctor to do pretty much whatever I want up to the surgery next week. Got back on the bike to see how it felt. Felt good an horrible all at the same time.
