shoes: NB 1210 "Leadville"

Hiked up Thunder Knob in North Cascades NP. A well developed trail with any steepish climbs moderated by switchbacks. Decent views of Diablo Lake (formed by a hydroelectric dam on the Skagit River) and lots of steep sided mountains with patches of snow on them. Temps got into the 80s and it was sunny, so hiking was on the warm side.

At Hand Hollow. Bailed when my right calf tightened up on the first uphill bit. Still sore later. Had spent time on a ladder earlier in the day (when there are weeds growing in the gutters, it's time to clean them) which probably meant more calf tensing than I realized.
