Running 35:00 [2] 3.8 mi (9:13 / mi)

Easy run w/Mo to do some errands. First time running since ARs last weekend, so was OK with taking it easy.

AR Tune-Up w/ Emily Korsch in Cannon Falls, MN
(Phillippo BSA Camp & Miesville Ravine Park)
Course Set by Mike & Julia
Back-to-back events are always gonna hurt for the legs. Wasn't feeling too sore, but legs felt pretty slow and tired.
Emily and I got off to a decent start. Had to carry my bike map holder during the first legs and attached it after the paddle. First CP on the aerial map was a definite bummer, but after that it was smooth sailing. Rode out to Miesville with Tom & Kelly the whole way.
Transitioned quickly, but the foot speed of TK was too quick for us to gap. We went through the front half of the Miesville Course together, but then took different routes out of the river bottom. I figured this was a possible opportunity for us to make a get away, so we pushed hard to the next few controls. We saw TK cresting the hill one control (a few minutes) back, so we knew we had the lead. Tried to again make a quick TA to head out on the bike and head for home. Significant headwind on that ride made it go really slow, but Awesome-O-Possum pushed the last O-section home to come away with the win.
AR Tune-up is once again a super fun event and a great challenge - both in the course and the competition. The back-to-back racing definitely put me in the hurt locker, so I'll need to rest up this week!

Paddling race (Canoe) 21:00 [3] 2.0 mi (10:30 / mi)

Canoe leg of AR Tune-Up

Biking 1:54:00 [4] 24.0 mi (12.6 mph)

Bike portions of AR Tune-Up. Lots of head winds on the longer ride home.
