Distance a guess as I did not bring the gps. Quite happy with the run as I only made a few smallish errors, and achieved my pre-race goals of keeping in contact with the map and running on the straight line between the controls, and shook off the bad run I had at Jumbuck. Although I didn't run too hard as I am midway through a cold. I started 4 mins in front of Ivan and he caught me at 4 - having made mistakes at 3 and 4, both pretty much inside the circle and not getting a fix on the detail clearly enough. I followed Ivan to 5 and then we took a different line to 6 - I ran over the hill and straight down to the control and he contoured around from the left and overshot it. The rest was quite smooth, and then Ivan caught me on the way to 11 (from memory), and then I shook him at 13 and never saw him again, managing to gain 4mins on him from there to the finish and won the dual by 10 seconds. Ominously, Ivan asked me how much of a time gap I wanted between him and I at the start.
