The garden is looking great, but there aren't enough hours in the day.

Event: ROC - Webster Park [2009 Club Series #2]
 

An interesting day at Webster Park. I went beyond the first control because I misread the map. I should have crossed the stream after control 2, but instead got stuck in some heavy vegetation farther down the stream. I then bypassed control 3 and ended up at 4. I had a little trouble locating 3, but then cruised along until #8. I read the wrong control description (#9, rootstock) and couldn't understand why the rootstock that was just inside the control circle didn't have a flag hanging from it. Of course the flag was hanging on a spur close by, as it was supposed to be. I lost a lot of time in my confusion. I was happy that I found 10 easily, in an area of the park that I usually get messed up it. My happiness was premature as I got off track on my way to 11. I've gotten messed up there in the past and unnecessarily went through some very muddy areas. Everything was great after that. At least I came in under 3 hours on my first Green course. I've come a long way since my first White course, and look forward to learning from my experience and eliminating (or reducing!) my navigational errors.
