Cross-country skiing (skating) 45:00 [1]

Saturday in Canmore for World Jr Trials and Olympic Trials.

Spent the whole day watching the sprints, but at the end Ulf and I went for a ski. I was super zonked and was really dragging.

Note

For those of you who are reading my log and not the CCC website, here are top five results for the Olympic Trials distance race today. I think McKeever is going to make the team

Top-Five Men’s Results:
1. Brian McKeever, Canmore, Alta., 46:02.4; 2. Graeme Killick, Fort McMurray, Alta., 46:03.9; 3. Kevin Sandau, Calgary, 46:20.9; 4. Jesse Cockney, Canmore, Alta., 46:23.3; 5. Chris Hamilton, Thunder Bay, Ont., 46:28.1
Colin Abbott in 25th. Couple of OOC members in there as well.

Top-Five Women’s Results:
1. Emily Nishikawa, Whitehorse, 32:32.1; 2. Brittany Webster, Caledon, Ont., 33:26.5; 3. Zoe Roy, Canmore, Alta., 33:55.6; 4. Alysson Marshall, Salmon Arm, B.C., 34:14.2; 5. Heidi Widmer, Banff, Alta., 34:14.2

Looks good for Emily Nish making the team (Graham Nish was 7th)

Note

This looks pretty awesome.

Cross-country skiing (skating) 1:30:00 [3]

Practice with limited Y4s as many were in Canmore. Did some drills and then relay intervals. I had to jump in to make the numbers even. It hurt.

Cross-country skiing 1:30:00 [1]

Some easy skiing during coaching.

This discussion on the College Team stuff is sort of interesting. I'm trying to stay positive but AP can make it hard at time.

Running 1:30:00 [2]

Run with Will on packed down snowy trails. Legs felt ok after the traveling. Nice temperature, but will get nasty cold tomorrow.

Cross-country skiing (Skating) 50:00 [2]

Was running short on time so only got to hammer Fortune Parkway to gossip corner and back from P9. Soft snow, still not too fast but a fun ski up the hill with Kailey & Martin. (Kailey would be perfect to run an ARK Chelsea as she's looking for a new challenge).

I hate skiing up Fortune Parkway. Skiing down way more fun.

Now delayed in the Ottawa airport heading back to Edmonton
