Running 45:00 [1]

Freezing in Edmonton, just grey and rainy. The rain is totally needed, but not the nicest way to kick off a long weekend.

Orienteering Race 45:00 [3]

First time on a map this year, Wednesday night event at Goldbar. Map has been updated sometime and was pretty good. Pretty blah course, long transportation leg off the start on the streets and then into the trails.

It's always strange to Orienteer on ski trails you're only used to in the winter. Weird level of familiarity but something is off.

New Spectra compass felt fine the one time I looked at it.

Running 55:00 [1]

After work run before the rain. New Brooks for the first time, felt pretty good, very good for $39.

Running 55:00 [2]

After I bought two pairs of new shoes, I still wore the old Montrails which have actually been really solid training shoes.

Was having a really good run until I started running into wee bugs which just destroyed the rest of the run.

Did 3 reps of the Sask Drive stairs. The first one was great, the second decent. The third less than stellar.

Running 1:15:00 [2]

Run along the river, just about a perfect day.

Except for the Canadians getting smoked in Philly.

Yesterday bought not one, but two pairs of shoes at a Romper Room clearance sale. Lightweight speed shoe and a bread and butter Brooks pair.
