Hammerfest after a busy day at work.

Cross-country skiing (Skating) 1:30:00 [3]

Awesome ski from P7, snow is amazing, great temperature, makes up for not being in Quebec City.

Last planning on the call with Beckie Scott. Pretty disappointed with turnout, with so many athletes and regional coaches and club coaches missing. No future ski-o national team members for example?

Cross-country skiing (Classic) 1:45:00 [4]

A hard classic ski from Morin-Heights around the Foudiers race trails. Really fun trails, but super hard-packed conditions, I didn't have much grip. Really needed a klister base, but the trails also have a bunch of hairpin corners that are designed to scrape off your wax.

Cross-country skiing 1:30:00 [3]

Weekend in Piedmont near Saint-Saveur so went to do some old school skiing at Viking!

Clubhouse has not changed a bit, still has great old posters up and pictures of Jackrabbit and Chris Blanchard.

Conditions would have meant really tricky waxing so skated. Grooming wasn't bad, except I used good poles and they pushed through the top layer most times and meant for a really frustrating ski. But, weather and trees were nice. Followed by great coffee at Luckys in Morin Heights.

Viking was at one time one of the strongest clubs in the country, doing a wee bit of research they won the Best Club at COCs, an award that seems to have vanished (Ottawa probably received it too often). I mostly remember Orienteering there in the summer through CIOR, there are some serious swamps, but some open woods and some major moose.

Strength Training 30:00 [1]

Legs day at FFF.
7 PM

Cross-country skiing (Skating) 1:30:00 [4]

Hammerfest ski from P7. The skiing is just incredible right now. Almost too good and fast. So very fast.

CCC Ski Nationals start tomorrow (or the Canadian Ski Championships to some) at Nakkertok. Sadly they have a really strange schedule because of the Quebec City World Cups and it will be hard to get to watch many.

Also: heading to ski north of Montreal this weekend!

Really sketchy run through the mansions of Rockcliff. A whole lot of sheer ice out there.

Sunday Mar 10, 2019 #

Cross-country skiing 1:15:00 [3]

Decent classic in the fresh snow from P7.

Saturday Mar 9, 2019 #

Cross-country skiing 1:40:00 [3]

Deadly ski from P7, skate. Awesome conditions.

Sunday Mar 3, 2019 #

Cross-country skiing 1:15:00 [3]

Amazing ski with Nicky from P7. Great conditions, although Desmis had a ski-doo down Ridge and messed up the grooming.

Back to TO for Tuesday night.
