Running 1:46:00 [3]

Great Sunday morning run with Freddy and Pete Quinn. Old Chelsea to Pink Lake and back. Uphill both way!

Periformis not feeling great. I'm not sure if I should get treatment before RTH or after or both.

Running 1:00:00 [1]

I didn't have a lot of time but just enough to hammer up to the Gats and run from P7.

Skyline and then a while on Ridge.

I had totally forgotten about the OC Rogaine and saw a few runners out in the woods.

Note

We were on lock-down today in Ottawa at Foreign Affairs.
I wrote a big long post about the elite races at NAOC but then deleted it.

Does anyone want/care about discussing the elites at NAOC? I don't think the Canadian team and athletes do (remember we're just talking cheering for laundry).
Just throwing that out there.

Running 45:00 [1]

Just a wee run on a dark and chilly night before watching perhaps the clock striking midnight on the KC Royals....

Running 1:26:00 [1]

Sunday morning run in the Gats, ran Wolf Trail and then sauna at Karl and Meg's place (atlhough they are in Helsinki).

Great day out there, but really feeling tightness in the legs at the end of the run on the downhill section. Need some hot yoga action!

Also, sauna's are good...

Orienteering Race race 22:47 [5] 4.09 km (5:34 / km) +25m 5:24 / km

NAOC Sprint. I think first start again, although it really didn't matter as my legs just were not there. First half on the streets were very much like a tricky Wed night event, so the Edmonton crowd should do well. Some fun little traps and a whole lot of put your head down and run.

Some slow downs on the second part in the arena, but was moving slower so easier to keep track.

Fun course, good test of fitness.

Running 40:00 [1]

Warm up and cool down for the training. Running from Alta Vista to Carleton and back, through Old Ottawa South, which has some really nice houses.

Orienteering Training 20:30 [3]

Carleton Sprint Map, training course with Will. Once you go to a university one often forgets that it could be a really good O map. I was amazed at how much the campus had changed since I went there. Really fun Sprint map.

Running 1:00:00 [1]

Sadly had to look for apartments and skip the B Meet which would have been great prep for NAOC. So, just a wee run along the Rideau River, sort of through the trails I ran on when I lived in Sandy Hill.

Yeah, my stuff arrived from Edmonton and into a storage locker, one step closer to getting set-up.
