Strength Training 25:00 [1]
slept:5.0 weight:160lbs

Strength at home watching tennis. I'm on the fence whether tennis is actually entertaining or just goes on forever. Justine Henin-Hardenne is pretty fun to watch though.
I got a free massage from joining the Alberta Public Service today from a Wellness Clinic fishing for clients. Any good? Well, it's hard to argue with a free massage, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Running 55:00 [2]
slept:7.0 weight:160lbs shoes: Hurricanes

Run down by the river, felt much better, but still very very stiff getting going. I stopped and stretched a couple of times and was able to get going easier than yesterday. The two races Saturday could be awful.

Running 45:00 [1]
slept:8.0 weight:160lbs shoes: Hurricanes

One of the worst runs of my life, my legs have no recovered from soccer on Sunday and sitting at a desk the past two days I'm sure made it work. Alberta Champs could be brutal. Getting a free massage Thursday night, hope that helps. Exceedingly tight hammys and quads.

Hockey or Soccer 2:30:00 [2]

My first Soccer Sunday at the Garneau School with random locals. Pretty decent turn out and I played pretty decent. The most amusing part was the fellow who was keeper for much of the game who kept making amazing saves on me while injuring himself at the same time. I'm pretty sure he's an English Phd student, actually no, for sure philosophy.
This will hopefully become a regular game.

Running 45:00 [3]

Run down by the river. The night before Canadian Champs and I'm not there. Reminds me of my old ski coach Pavol who used to declare certain skiers as "recreational skiers" as opposed to racers.
I've had two of my best ever ski races at Monora Park in Orangeville. I wonder if Jeff Ellis knows the Orienteering is going on there or not.

Running 1:00:00 [2]
slept:8.5 weight:160lbs shoes: Hurricanes

Run down by the river, found another good trail and went down past Hawleek Park. It's going to be a great place to do Emma Intervals sooner or later.

Running long 50:00 [2]
slept:7.0 weight:160lbs shoes: Hurricanes

Run in the rain in Whitemud South with Juha. Pouring rain the whole time. Whitemud has a pretty good trail network, but just nasty thick woods. Possible location for future Adventure Run held within Edmonton similar to the King's Forest to Dundas Valley proposal.
JMM put zone 1, I was at least zone 2.

Running 50:00 [3]
slept:7.0 shoes: Hurricanes

Run down by the valley after work. Felt pretty lame and weak. The shoes still feel great. Great temperature for running.

Strength Training 30:00 [1]

Doing some core strength watching tv. CSI is on all the time, totally addictive show. So unrealistic, no one every turns on a light the entire show. Hmmm I'm going into a dark room to look for clues and I'll use a flash-light rather than say, turning on this light... Jorja Fox is hot though
I think I'll start talking like David Caruso on CSI Miami now and then...

Hiking 1:00:00 [1]

Hiking around Johnson Canyon in Banff. It's a paved trail mostly, so not exactly a rugged mountain climb or anything. A crazy number of people there.

Running 45:00 [3]
slept:7.0 shoes: Hurricanes

Take it to the Valley! First run down by the North Saskachewan. I found Edmonton's South Shore trail, ran down, to Emily Murphy Park and back. Saw a couple of girls that were just cooking down there. The hills trashed me, felt okay on the flats, brutal uphill. Should be good training there.
