Running 45:00 [3]
slept:6.0 weight:160lbs shoes: Asics 2070

Run along the canal, very warm. I could have worm shorts, but when I took a look at how white my legs are, I figured that I should spare the good people of Ottawa the shine.

Running 45:00 [3]

Run along the river, nice and warm, but muddy.

Running 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Asics 2070

Run at night with Dougie, a lovely day and we wait until night to train. Both of us were mega tired from a long day, I just had dead legs. The fields are nicely soaked.

And I found out today I've made it to interview stage of the Ontario PS recruitment. One step closer to calling up Superwes to do lunch, Bay St style, or where ever various provincial ministries are in the Big Smoke.

Cross-country skiing (skating) 2:00:00 [3]
shoes: Skate Boots

Ski alone along Ridge Road from P7. Went in the afternoon which was a poor choice as it must have been fast this morning. There were some icy bits in the shade, but the sunny spots were seriously soft and slow. I was surprised how little tar ended up on my skiis afterwards, which is a good sign, lots more skiing ahead.

Running 45:00 [2]

Run after work, lovely day that I spent inside the whole time.

Running 45:00 [3]

Just a run after work along the river. Getting a bit nasty and muddy.

Cross-country skiing long (skating) 1:15:00 [2]
slept:7.5 shoes: Skate Boots

Night ski with Doug from Freddy's pad. Pretty fast conditions, we both did alot of double polling to ski together. Some slow spots, but good conditions and we should be skiing a while. We were skiing on the Mont Bleu map, which is usually the first one without snow in the Gats, however, it's one of the worst maps around. Would be a decent map with some clean areas, if only the detail was on it.

Cross-country skiing long (skating) 2:00:00 [2]
shoes: Skate Boots

Long ski with JennyD, P7 Kingsmere, around Skyline, to Burma, then parkways back. A fun ski, not deadly fast snow, but not slow.
I think I'm going to listen to Wilco the rest of the day. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is so good, and both Being There are amazing.

Running 40:00 [3]

Because there's just some nights in which a run at midnight is needed.

Thursday Mar 16, 2006 #

Running 45:00 [3]

Tempo run, down by the river.

Wednesday Mar 15, 2006 #

Cross-country skiing (skating) 1:45:00 [3]
shoes: Skate Boots

Hard tempo ski in the gats from P10 at night. The snow was very very fast, a hint of ice, hard grandular stuff.

Friday Mar 10, 2006 #

Running 45:00 [3]

run in the westdale trails, legs feeling much better from taking yesterday off.

Wednesday Mar 8, 2006 #

Running warm up/down 45:00 [2]

Legs felt just awful from the night before, that and the driving from Ottawa, probably the lack of running in Ottawa. Warm up and cool down around Crooks Hollow

Orienteering Training ***

Orienteering training at Christie. Legs felt as bad as they ever have, just mega mega tight and it prevented me from ever really openning up and running hard. It was especially brutal during the second half when it was sprint training and I had to watch Mike and Pat just leave me right away along a trail. Lots of stretching tonight.

Tuesday Mar 7, 2006 #

Running warm up/down 40:00 [1]
shoes: Asics 2070

Warm up/cool down at Chedoke with the Hamilton folks.

Running intervals 30:00 [5]
shoes: Asics 2070

Emma intervals by Hans. 32 x 45 sec with 15 sec recovery. For once I was more or less able to pace myself throughout it. Very tough and I was totally toast by the end.
