Orienteering Race race 31:23 [4] *** 4.37 km (7:11 / km)
spiked:8/10c slept:5.0

Ran the time trial part of the Constance Bay training day. Felt very good early, then lost concentration and my legs in the middle section, thumb slipped, just not smooth. Should be faster in those woods.

Orienteering Training (Hanging flags) 30:00 [3]

Hanging flags in the morning , north section of Constance Bay. Discovered that one of my controls was a total bingo control which I heard about later from 2 teams, the other two had no problem. Dumb move on my part.

Orienteering Training (Hanging flags) 1:30:00 [2] ***

Hanging flags at Mont Bellevue for CIOR Thursday. Very good area, would make an awesome middle and short distance area, not quite big enough for a classic.

Running intervals 20:00 [5]

8x400 Intervals, ran them at 1:15 pace, very consitent on a cinder track, felt really good.

Sunday Jul 3, 2005 #

canoe/kayak 1:20:00 [2] **

Paddling with the CIOR team on the river north of Laval. I just suck at paddling and especially steering a kayak.

Running race 2:00:00 [3] *
spiked:6/7c

Running the afternoon long section with Gen because of no other girls. I felt pretty bad, but she felt worse.

Orienteering Training (Hanging ribbons) 1:00:00 [3] ***
spiked:9/10c slept:8.0

Hanging ribbons at Mont Bellevue. Man, such a great area, it would need a good course setter, but no reason you couldn`t have a weekend of races there. Sat am Short, PM Sprint at Uni Sherbrooke, Sunday, Mass Start O-cross.

Friday Jul 1, 2005 #

canoe/kayak long 2:30:00 [1] **
spiked:5/5c

Checking out permanent controls on the Laval north shore for Sunday`s CIOR. Man, do I suck at paddling, was in a 2-man kayak with Francis, he did most of the work.

Orienteering Training 25:00 [1]

Hanging ribbons for a section of Sunday CIOR Laval event. But, the best part, ran by Bruny Surin and then later talked to him for a bit, super nice guy.

Orienteering Training (hanging flags) 30:00 [3] ***
spiked:10/10c slept:3.5

Morning came very very early, infact went to bed with the sun up and birds laughing at me. Thats what a night in Montreal with hipster kewl girls will do for you. Hanging flags I didnèt get to the day before.
