Running 1:20:00 [3]

Run with Nicky and Farley from P13. A total November type of run, but good temp and Farley had loads of fun in the woods.

Running 45:00 [1]

Quick run by the river with Farley before drinks and food at the Manx. Always interesting chatting when a friend says, well I grit my teeth and ran 2:22 (for the marathon).

Lots of talk about the new Nike shoes and the change, like minutes for a marathon. Last time running shoes really changed was probably early 70s?

River run with Farley

Cross-country skiing 1:00:00 [1]

First ski of the year! Went from P5, Parkways are in good shape. My RCSs felt mega soft and evidently the snow was super slow (which made me feel better about myself).

Good to be out.

This year I will finally buy new boots, which will be painful given the shift in bindings.

Running 55:00 [3]

Snowy run with Farley from Chelsea Picnic.

Orienteering Race 1:20:23 [4] 6.63 km (12:07 / km)

Man, awesome fun run to finish the Ottawa season, Asticou map, now updated and with no leaves can really see things. But a seriously tough area with the rocks! Solid run, a bit sloppy here and there which added up.

Awesome to see former CIAU 1500m winner Dan Henniger out with his kids. Dan talked about doing rogaines with Ed James in NS.

Here's the difference between fast and wheels. GO control do the finish, EricK was 51 seconds, I was 53 (trying to make up for a slow route to last control), RobG was 54, Alex 57, mostly around that. Philip Turcanu was 40 seconds. 40 seconds! Dude has wheels, can't wait to see him running sprints and Longs.

Running 56:00 [3]

Hard chilly run of the Loop with Fred and Farley.

Thursday Nov 7, 2019 #

Note

CIAU Cross Champs this weekend in Kingston, still a chance I'll be there to watch on Saturday. But unlike last time, no Stages is the plan.

Queen's women favoured on home course.
U of Calgary mens to lose.
