Running 1:00:00 [1]
(injured)

Rough morning.

Running with Fred and Nicky from Old Chelsea and about halfway around The Loop I tripped and in the process of trying not to fall I did something serious to my hamstring.

Loads of pain and couldn't run so limped back to Old Chelsea, Fred grabbed his car and gave me a lift.

Mega pain since, lots of stretching and heat. Biggest concern is putting on shoes for work Monday.

Note

I remember running with Wes and Anvil and we spotted a very tough looking Man-Deer in the Back 40 at Mac.

I wouldn't want any part of a deer in full-sprint:

Running 1:30:00 [5]

Just your normal trail running workout that consisted of nothing but running up and down Camp Fortune skill hills. That is all.

I may feel this in the morning. For the next many days.

Man, hard workout with NFL tonight! Super glad I went.

20 minutes of warm-up which was running through dodgy fields and then UP Pink Lake hill.

Workout was 8 loops of a mixture of bit of parkway followed by single track which was tricky in the dark (due to my vintage headlamp). 2 mins of recovery. In a group with Janice Ash and Nicky and we hammered each of them, Janice and I alternating (surprised I could keep up to her).

Then a loop of Pink Lake. Then back to P2.

Great workout, why don't more Orienteers come to these?

Fall OOC event at Nakkertok. Great day for running and was curious about whether the woods at Nakkertok would be okay for a decent sized event. Well, fun course, but left not really knowing the answer as so much of this was running on trails. The woods we were in were pretty nice, and maybe there's more off the map?

Was a little sloppy, should have been a few minutes faster, but man, I got dropped by the younger dudes on those trails, which were all uphill.

Might recognize Nakkertok from this:

At one time I hear Nakkertok was smaller than OOC. That is one ambitious ski club.
