Note

Trying to pack this week for move to Ottawa on the weekend.

On the hunt for good podcasts to listen to for the long drive. Any suggestions?

Cycling 1:15:00 [2]

Cross ride on a lovely late afternoon day in Edmonton. Super mega blue sky out there.

Interesting weekend of emailing with some skiers about Orienteering. One of them was convinced to race the M21E Long at NAOC and if he gets in the right train, he's in the top 10. The other is hoping to run Tio-Mila in the spring.

Lovely ride on the crosser on a sunny fall day. Warm out here, super bright.

Now cleaning and packing. Less fun.

Note

I take back what I did not write on the eBay thread.

At least one country is trying...

Running 45:00 [1]

Just a wee run in the valley after a super boring week at work.

Cycling 1:00:00 [1]

Super nice day in Edmonton so did a wee bike ride after work.

Managed to miss two events in the same location:
First Frank's XC Race
Wed Night Orienteering which I totally forgot was going on.

But the ride was good.

So holding my tongue on that eBay thread....

Very gentle mtb ride after the 100km fondo yesterday in Jasper. Legs are still not impressed.

Incredibly nice day today. Drove from Jasper to Edmonton this morning, saw about 4 elk.

Still in work no-mans land which is really frustrating.

Cycling (crosser) 3:30:00 [4] 100.0 km (2:06 / km)

Jasper Fondo - Downtown Jasper to Maligne Lake and back. About 100km.

I think this was around this time, will try to confirm, but wasn't fast as the first 50km was pretty uphill.

More details later but just an awesome ride and big props to the Marc Vien to getting me out and through the day. If you're ever in Jasper, stop in at the Source for Sports. Marc road a $4500 Scott bike for this. It was very fancy looking.

My legs were in similar shape to the end of all Raid the Hammers.

Really enjoyed the long ride and was thinking that my father would have really enjoyed events like and he would have been a great cyclist (my dad did bike a decent amount, but that was from one farm to another when moving tractors). My mom has basically replaced trail running and Orienteering with cycling as well.

As is commonly said, Cycling: truly a lifetime sport.

Running 45:00 [2]

Quick run on a cold chilly morning before watching Tour of Alberta.

My god is there a lot of money in cycling!

A wee ride in the valley in and around the final day of the World Tri Champs. A chilly start to September.
