Running 45:00 [2]
slept:7.0

Warm up and then cool down runs through the Carleton campus and along the canal

Strength Training 45:00 [4]

Core strength training with the ski team. Probably not a good idea after climbing the night before. My hands were killing me from climbing and was really hard to do some of the drills. Finished with silly jumping stuff that Pavol makes us do in public to laugh at us.

Yoga 1:30:00 [1]

First time doing yoga, actually we used to do this stuff at theatre school but it was before it was hip and cool and practiced by soccer moms and sensitive ponytailed guys (special prize to anyone naming that reference)

Didn't feel much afterwards, but will probably be sore the next day. Also from the weights this morning

Running 45:00 [3]
slept:8.5

Just a morning run to gets things going, very tight after the event yesterday. A few legs straight through green too many.

Climbing 1:30:00 [3]

An hour and a half of climbing. First time since I think March or April so wasn't very good. Did some pull-ups and sit-ups at the end.

Orienteering Race 1:09:30 [4] 5.2 km (13:22 / km) +200m 11:13 / km
spiked:9/12c slept:4.5

Orienteering B Meet at Carmen Trails. Alot of running through green woods, although not as nasty thick as it could be in the Gats. My legs really feeling it from yesterday's workout as well as last night's going away party....

Roller Skiing 1:30:00 [3]

Roller skiing work-out with the Carleton team, classic as usual with my deadly slow skiis.

Running 45:00 [2]

Long cool down run with the mens team, did a bit on the parkway and then multiple-orgasm

Running 45:00 [3]

First run after a week of being sick with a nasty cold/flue which just destroyed me. Run along the river felt okay, clearing out the lungs mostly

Running 1:25:00 [3]

Trail running in the Gats with Toivo the climber. We ran Wolf trail, a really hilly trail. Looking at the thick woods to run through tomorrow.

Strength Training 45:00 [4]

More ski strength training, outdoors with some speed work with ski-poles thrown in as well

Wednesday Sep 17, 2003 #

Running 30:00 [2]

Warm up game of footie, big team of skiers and two balls. Two goals and some nice passes

Strength Training

Doing circuit training with the ski team, lots of sit-ups, push ups, medicine ball toss and then into the heavy weight room for some heavy weights....

Running (Warm Up and Cool Down) 40:00 [1]

Warming up and cooling down for roller-ski workout in the Gats from P10

Running 30:00 [4]

Uphill roller-ski workout which was pretty brutal on my skiis which are circa 1991 and the slowest Jennex V2s out there. Plus my boots are too big which hurts the feat. Felt really good to be back on skiis again.

Running 45:00 [2]

Pretty slow run with Ian and Anna-Spring, her knee started to bother her half-way so I seperated and ran a bit harder on the way home

Sunday Sep 14, 2003 #

Orienteering Race 56:00 [4]

Pretty poor run at Corkstown Road, much thicker than last week and just wasn't sharp and ran slow on a couple long legs.

Orienteering Race 34:58 [4]

Orienteering Score-O Race at Constance Bay in Ottawa. Ran okay, really feeling my lack of fitness in a couple of sandy trail legs. Love the woods there, yes it's technically easy, but there's lots to be said for wide open white woods in which you can hammer through
